Scientific Presentation Competition

Share your passion for medical imaging in a 10-minute recorded presentation for recognition at the NCSRT Annual Conference.

Overview

Are you passionate about a scientific topic relating to medical imaging? Did you read an interesting CE article or discover something that blew your mind during your didactic lessons? Submit an electronic presentation and you could be recognized at the NCSRT Annual Conference!

Application Deadline

Note: All presentations must be received by February 20, 2026

Submissions close at 11:59 p.m.

Application & Presentation Guidelines

  • Submit your application via the NCSRT website on or before 11:59 p.m. on the deadline. No exceptions.
  • You will receive a return email confirming receipt.
  • Entries must be from a member of NCSRT, Inc.

Presentation & Winners

  • Winners are announced Friday at the Annual Conference Awards Luncheon.
  • First, second, and third place awarded if there are sufficient submissions.
  • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners receive plaques; 1st place also receives a $50 cash prize. No ties.
  • NCSRT, Inc. reserves the right to publish or post submitted works.

Eligibility

  • Open to technologists or students holding active, advanced student, or student membership.
  • Applicant must be a member in good standing at time of application.
  • Society committee chairmen or officers are not eligible.
  • Disqualified presenters will be notified via email after the Committee’s decision.

Format

  • Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on the deadline.
  • Each presentation should be submitted by a single presenter.
  • Submit a video recording (≤ 10 minutes) on a medical imaging topic. Post on YouTube as “Unlisted” and include the link in your application.
  • Video must be clear with sufficient audio volume.
  • A slide video with voiceover is preferred (e.g., PowerPoint, Prezi). To enable blind judging, do not include presenter images in the video.
  • Cite all sources at the end using AMA format.

Subject Matter

  • Presentation must be the individual’s own work. The presenter’s name should not appear in the video (names may be displayed only after judging).
  • Topics must pertain to the radiologic sciences or other imaging modalities; charts, photos, and technical factors may be used.
  • No images/markings that could identify a patient, institution, or department. HIPAA must not be violated; violations result in immediate disqualification.
  • Layout should include Introduction, Body, and Conclusions.

Withdrawals

Any exhibitor deciding to withdraw must notify the President immediately.
