The NCSRT wants you to showcase your skills in a short video about your own life! Tell us how you became interested in medical imaging, your educational and life journey, and why you should be considered a Radiology Rockstar. Application Deadline
All videos to be considered must be received by a date set yearly based on committee and board input.
Application & Presentation Guidelines
- Submissions must be received on or before 11:59 PM by the application deadline stated on the NCSRT website. THERE CAN BE NO EXCEPTIONS.
- You will receive a return email confirming your application was received.
- Entries must be submitted by a current member of NCSRT, Inc.
Presentation & Winners
- Competition winners will be awarded their placement on Friday at the Annual Conference Awards Luncheon.
- There will be one first-place winner.
- The NCSRT, Inc. reserves the right to publish or post submitted works for competition.
- Winners receive a $50 cash prize and one year of free NCSRT membership. Winning submissions may be featured on official NCSRT social media.
Eligibility
- Open to technologists or students holding active, advanced student, or student membership in the Society.
- Applicants must be members in good standing at the time of application.
- Committee chairmen and officers of the Society are not eligible to participate.
- Submitters whose videos are disqualified will be notified via email after the Committee’s decision.
Rules & Regulations
Judging
- The sitting Board of Directors will judge the competition using official score sheets.
- Selections are based on the video judging evaluation scale.
- Due to the nature of the contest, blind judging is not possible.
Format
- Each video must be submitted by a single person.
- Maximum length: 2.5 minutes.
- Post your video to YouTube as Unlisted. Submit the YouTube link in the application form.
(Instructions for posting an unlisted video are available on the NCSRT site.) - Creativity is encouraged! Consider clips from lab sessions, school life, or your personal life.
- HIPAA must not be violated. Clips from hospital/work settings are strongly discouraged.
Do not include any identifying patient information. Submissions violating this rule will be disqualified without exception. - Video must be clear (not blurry) with sufficient audio volume to understand the speaker.
- Cite any sources at the end using AMA format.
Subject Matter
- Explain why you should be considered a Radiology Rockstar—share your achievements, journey into medical imaging, and passion.
- Videos should be biographical in nature: how you entered the field, what motivates you, your career goals, and/or what NCSRT membership means to you.
- Be creative and authentic. If selected as a winner, your video may be distributed as official NCSRT material—avoid sharing overly personal information.
- No identifying patient information may appear in any submission.
- No specific layout is required, but a consistent theme should carry through your video.
Withdrawals
Any submitter who decides to withdraw must notify the President immediately.

Attestation
By completing and submitting the application, you attest that you have read and agree to abide by the Rules and Regulations for the Radiology Rockstars Video Contest, and that you are eligible to participate. If you decide not to compete prior to the meeting, you will notify the President of the NCSRT, Inc. Board of Directors as soon as possible (contact details available on the Board of Directors page on the NCSRT website).
