Mike Emery from the Sandhills Community College and Linda Rogers from Wake Technical Community College, two of our long-time members, received recognition from the State of North Carolina.  The Community College system honored them as 2 of only 5 finalists for the Excellence in Teaching Award for 2005.  Each year the community colleges nominate and choose divisional and college winners for the award.  These instructors are then in competition for the state award and are interviewed by college administrators and then the state board officials.

Mike and Linda were honored at the State’s “Day of Recognition Dinner”, on November 18, 2005 at the RBC Center in Raleigh where they were presented with a plaque and a check for their accomplishments.

We find it wonderful that this year it happens that two of the five finalists are RADIOGRAPHY INSTRUCTORS!!  RADIOGRAPHERS RULE!!
