Continuing Education Credits
Each year the NCSRT, Inc. sponsors:

The NCSRT, Inc. sponsors an Annual Conference once a year. The Annual Conference is where the business of the Society is held along with the honors and competitive aspect of the meeting. All educational courses are CE approved by the ASRT.

"A Rainbow of Education" One-day seminars in diagnostic and the specialty areas including education, cardiovascular, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, radiation therapy, mammography, and more.

The NCSRT, Inc. grants Continuing Education Credits (CECs) approved by ASRT for all NCSRT, Inc. sponsored and approved activities.

Publications
Members receive the "Tarheel Technology Highlights" four times a year and membership directories when published. Please visit http://ncsrt.org/tthupdates.html for more information.

Legislative Representation
Representatives of the NCSRT, Inc. update the membership on all new and pending legislation that may affect the professional practice of the radiation and imaging sciences.

Employment and Career Information
Employ recruit at meetings and through NCSRT, Inc. publications. The NCSRT, Inc. also provides information on advanced radiation and imaging sciences education in the state.

Professional Development
Members have the opportunity to enhance leadership skills through involvement in competitions, elected offices, committees, business meetings, board meetings, and other functions.

Membership Categories
Technologists and others interested in supporting the purpose of the NCSRT, Inc. should become members based on the following categories:

Voting Members
Includes technologists who are certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and or its equivalent. These members, if eligible, may vote, hold office and serve on committees.

Active
Any technologist practicing in the profession of the radiation and imaging sciences.

Advanced Student
Any technologist enrolled full-time in a program of advanced study in the radiation and imaging sciences.

Life
Life members shall be those members who have rendered unusual service by demonstrating an extreme interest in and significant contribution to the Society.

Retired
Retired members are members who are no longer actively engaged in the radiologic sciences and who have applied for and received retired status with the ARRT.

Inactive
Inactive members shall be those individuals who are registered with the ARRT and who are not employed in the radiologic sciences.

Non-Voting Members

Student
Any student enrolled in an accredited program in the radiation and imaging sciences.

Commercial
Those individuals employed by a commercial support service who are interested in promoting the purpose of the NCSRT, Inc.

Supporting
Those individuals engaged in the profession of the radiation and imaging sciences who do not qualify for any other established category.

Honorary
Honorary members shall be those persons the Society wishes to honor because of the interest they have shown in the activities of the Society.

BYLAWS

** EFFECTIVE AUGUST 2004. All members with an August, September, October, November, and December birth date will have a pro-rated fee for renewal (see appropriate renewal form below). They will renew again in January 2005. This will cover their membership until January 2006.

For members in 2005 with a January, February, March, April, May, June, and July birth month they will have a pro-rated fee for renewal (see appropriate renewal form below). This will cover them until January 2006.

As of January 2006 ALL MEMBERS will be on an annual renewal basis.
