Federal employees would not have
to comply with the standards or
acquire a state license. Physicians,
chiropractors, podiatrists and dentists
are exempted from the provisions
of the CARE Bill. |

Health & Human Services such as
Veterans Administration, Military,
Federal Prisons do not have to
comply with the standards. Physicians,
podiatrists, chiropractors,
dentists, nurse practitioners and
physician assistants are exempted
from having to meet the standards. |

HHS has 18 months to promulgate
regulations after HR 1214 is enacted;
states have 90 days to comply
unless state legislation is required,
then states have through
the next legislative session of that
state to enact legislation |
